FLAGFLASHClassroom

Flag Flash for teachers

A fast flag quiz your class can play for free, on any phone, tablet or classroom screen. Students don't need accounts or email addresses.

Ways to use it in class

  • Warm-up: put the daily challenge on the board. It's the same 10 flags for everyone, so the whole class can compare scores.
  • Topic work: each region has its own quiz, so you can match the lesson you're teaching.
  • Class competition: Survival mode gives 3 lives and speeds up after every right answer, which works well for a team game.
  • Reference: every flag has its own page, and the look-alike pages explain flags that are easy to mix up.

Classroom mode

Make a class, put its code on the board, and set flag quizzes. Students join at school.flagflash.com/join with the code and their first name, with no email address or account. Every student gets the same flags, and you see each student's score, who hasn't played yet, and which flags the class found hardest. You can download the results as a spreadsheet.

For the whole class at once, put a quiz on the board: Host live game flashes each flag on the screen after a 3, 2, 1 countdown while students race to answer on their own devices, with a leaderboard after every flag and a podium at the end. Race board lets students play at their own pace while the board shows everyone racing to the finish.

Privacy

Students can play without signing in. In classroom mode we only store the name a student types and their quiz results, and you can remove a student or delete the class at any time. Accounts are for players aged 13 and over, so teachers sign in and students don't. Read the full privacy policy.
